About the Role
Complete Care Agency is recruiting on behalf of a 34-year-old client in Edinburgh who has a C5 spinal cord injury. He lives independently in an adapted flat, works part-time as a graphic designer, and is highly self-directed about how his care is delivered. He is looking for a Personal Assistant who will support his daily care routines and enable him to lead the full life he has built.
This role is about enabling independence — not doing things for him, but with him, in the way he has determined.
What You Will Be Doing
- Completing morning and evening care routines: assisted washing, dressing, oral care, and positioning
- Catheter and bowel management (full training provided)
- Assisted transfers using hoist and manual handling techniques
- Meal preparation and support at mealtimes
- Supporting with administrative tasks, community access, and travel as required
- Communicating any changes in health or skin integrity to the case management team
- Maintaining records using the digital care system
What We Are Looking For
- Previous PA or care experience, ideally with a physical disability client or spinal injury background
- Genuine respect for client autonomy and self-directed care
- Calm, professional manner
- Manual handling training (or willingness to complete on appointment)
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
- Eligibility to work in the UK
