About Helping Hands Care
Helping Hands Care provides domiciliary and live-in care services across the North West and Yorkshire, supporting people to remain independent in their own homes.
About the Role
Helping Hands Care is recruiting Community Care Workers across Manchester to support elderly clients in their own homes. This is a domiciliary role — you will travel between clients throughout your shift, delivering personalised care that enables people to live independently and with confidence.
This is an excellent entry point into a care career, and we offer full training, the Care Certificate, and clear progression into senior or specialist roles.
What You Will Be Doing
- Providing personal care — washing, dressing, and grooming — following individual care plans
- Preparing meals and supporting clients at mealtimes
- Administering medication or prompting clients to take their own medication
- Assisting with light domestic tasks: hoovering, washing up, laundry
- Providing social support and companionship during visits
- Observing and reporting any changes in a client’s condition or circumstances
- Maintaining accurate call records using our digital care system
What We Are Looking For
- A caring, reliable nature and good timekeeping
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (essential for this role)
- Previous care experience is welcome but not required — we will train the right person
- Good written and verbal communication
- Willingness to work early mornings, evenings, and alternate weekends
What We Offer
- £12.00 per hour, plus mileage allowance (45p per mile)
- Paid travel time between calls
- Care Certificate funded and delivered in-house
- NVQ Level 2 / 3 funding available
- Flexible rota — we will work around your availability
- Supportive local coordinator on call at all times
